Deer Killers

As many of you are aware, In December we totalled our maxima (I totalled our maxima...) hitting a big old deer! That was in the beginning of December, We just now received our insurance pay out for it, Typical insurance company!

So last weekend we went with our cousin Eric down to Utah so that we could see temple square and have a little vacation! We packed our stuff into our van and left in the afternoon which meant driving all through the night for us, at about 3am, Mark was driving and Eric and I were both fast asleep when all the sudden I hear (and feel) a big WHAM! low and behold once again we had a great run in with a deer. Being over tired we just continued driving until it was time to switch drivers. the deer took out our left headlight, squished the hood and the fender he couldn't fully open the drivers door.

You have got to be kidding me!!!

:(

SO! All day Friday we shopped for new cars. No we did not buy anything but I did discover that I love the dodge journey.

So we get back home and Mark begins his favorite activity, Car Shopping!!

So today, my mother and sister In-law and her husband and a friend took the Moxley girls to see the new lego movie, while we were there Mark and his Dad went to the auction to see if there were any good cars that were a good value. So we are driving home after Mark picked me up and we were talking about the cars at the auction, He asked me again which vehicle is my favorite and I said well I really like the journey and he mentioned that he understood and will keep it in mind as he wasn't to keen on them before. We get to our street and we pass several dodge journeys along the way, our neighbor right next to us just happened to have us as well. we get out of the van and Mark goes hey lets just look at this journey for a second. So we walk over and I realize Mark is actually going to walk up to this persons journey and look inside. Mark NO that is SO creepy. I turn around and walk towards the house when I hear the car alarm!! expecting the owner to run out pretty mad I didn't even look back. Then Mark calls my name and I turn around to see the door is open. You broke into this persons car?! wait a second...

Mark bought me a journey!!!

The little sneak was messing with me but best surprise ever!!!

whoooo!!!

Our Crazy Life!

WOW
What a month January was!!

We were so very blessed to have experienced all the things we did last month.

January 10th we FINALLY moved into out home in Riverbend... After waiting for what felt like a lifetime we are happily living with almost all of our stuff where it belongs.

We are so lucky to have such supportive friends and family who packed up and helped us paint ALL DAY the Saturday we moved in!

This is what our main living area looked like before...

And THIS is how it looks now! (the paint... not the mess ;)

It was such a relief to make give the house our own personal touch, Its amazing what a couple coats of paint can do!

On January 18th I was able to go through the Calgary LDS Temple for the first time! It meant so much to me to have the support of my family, friends and members of our ward, What a special day it was! My friend Andrea and I have made it a goal to attend the temple weekly and have thus far been successful! We are so blessed to have a Temple here in Calgary.

To top the month off, this last week I handed in my very last assignment for school and am now finished!! Hard work sure pays off, I start my new job at the Foothills Hospital on Monday! :) :)

As you can see there has been lots of excitement in the Chipman household, We are hoping to continue the positivity into February.
